Three-quarter length portrait of Boehm who stands holding flute in his left hand (on viewer's right). His left arm rests on a table at the right. The table is covered with a carpet and a piece of sheet music is beneath Boehm's left arm. He wears a tattersall vest and trousers, a dark three-quarter length coat, white shirt, and dark cravat tied in a bow. He has light, tousled hair and sideburns. His torso faces forward, but he gazes to the right.

Provenance: Anna Boehm, Munich, 14 Aug. 1905.
Condition: Good condition. Four corners trimmed. Some stains and small surface abrasions or tears around border of photograph and edges of mount probably due to photograph's removal from its original housing or frame. Dark oval shape around Boehm probably also a due to original frame.
