This perspective view, with the plans detailed on the following pages, represents a good type of Association Building. It is the purpose of the management to erect a similar building, which will be fully equipped to meet the needs of our men. Wash., D.C.

WASHINGTON IN LINE WITH OTHER CITIESNearly every city has its Young Men's Christian Association. Forty cities have Associations for colored men. Washington, by reason of its large colored population, needs such an Association Building with full equipment for the work.

A $20,000 building is in process of erection at Columbus, Ga., for our men - the gift of Mr. George Foster Peabody.

WHAT HAS BEEN DONE IN WASHINGTON.Meetings have been held for men every Sunday afternoon for over three years.Some sixty men have been converted, most of whom have joined churches.A profitable friendship has sprung up between many young men through this means of meeting.Six hundred men, representing all churches and classes have been enrolled.WHAT WE NEED.A building which will be the center of the upliftingactivities of the young colored men of the city.A building such as has been described in this prospectus.To this end, Mr. John D. Rockefeller, an outside friend, because of his interest in the Nation's Capital, offers $25,000, on condition that a like amount be raised among our people.

NEW BUILDING CAMPAIGN.The special campaign committee, in charge of a canvass for $25,000 to be raised among the colored citizens of Washington, in order to make available the $25,000 contribution of Mr.Rockefeller, includes the following gentlemen:
