<lb>
My darling little wife:

I am getting very homesick for you — and wonder whether you have any place left for me in your thoughts.

Have parties, receptions, dinners, etc., — quite usurped my place?

I have just five minutes here while waiting for a train — and thought I would write a few lines. I will come to Washington before I go to Baddeck. Couldn't you meet me somewhere and let us go off for a few days somewhere together. I never seem to have my little wife to myself — excepting when we are AWAY from home. Love to Daidums.

Your loving husband,
<lb>
Alec.
