The Library of Congress Audio-Visual Prototyping Project is experimenting with the creation of digital content "wrapped" by METS (Metadata Encoding and Transmission Standard). This page provides access to digital objects that reproduce items from the collections of the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, and Recorded Sound Division, the American Folklife Center and the Prints and Photographs Division. The software used to edit and present the objects has been produced for the Library by the contractor User Technology Associates.

During this user test, changes are being made to both the METS data structure and to the software that is provided to view and listen to the sample objects. Comments on object structure and presentation are encouraged. Although the user test is not intended to refine the simple tools that have been provided to identify and access selected objects, comments about them are also welcome.
