You can go directly to the American Memory Collection Finder page, where the collections are grouped in several ways. Select List All Collections to see an alphabetical list of all the collections. Click on "show descriptions" for details about each collection. Use the search box on this page to search ALL collections. Click on a single collection's name, and you will limit your search to that collection only. This will make your search smaller and more specific, and the response time will be faster.

BEWARE! Searches provide temporary lists! Like any other web search engine, "bookmarks" will not save these lists. Note the collection name and identifying words that describe an item if you hope to find it again. You CAN find the permanent URL to bookmark, by following these instructions.
