Effective curriculum design provides the necessary guidance and direct experiences that allow students to develop deep understandings. Teachers carefully orchestrate resources, timing, expectations, delivery of instruction, and opportunity for exploration to provide an optimal learning experience for their students.
What criteria must be met for the design to be both engaging and effective?
Engaging curriculm design provides the hooks that pull students in, is developmentally and culturally relevant, and has a personally desirable outcome for the student. |
