January Selections:
8 "Editorials" discusses Moving Picture Age's efforts to promote the better film movement and its collaboration with the General Federation of Women's Clubs which will publish its lists of approved films in the magazine. The Federation's Motion Picture Committee chairman, Mrs. Woodallen Chapman, has agreed to provide a regular feature for the magazine. Some of the difficulties in producing, distributing, and marketing films for educational use are also addressed, and film presentations are viewed as a means of attracting rural audiences to farm bureau programs.

April Selections:
13 "Recreation that Re-creates" by Mrs. Charles E. Merriam, Chairman, Better Films Committee, Illinois Council of Parent-Teacher Associations, explores new trends in recreation and leisure and is concerned that movies are having a deleterious effect on society, especially children.

October Selections:
16 "Constructive Efforts" is a commentary by Mrs. Woodallen Chapman, which is published as part of the Better Films Department, a joint feature between the Federation and the magazine. Chapman applauds efforts of women's clubs around the country to improve the moral standards of films. She highlights successful local efforts and cites the sponsorship of a Better Motion Pictures Week by clubwomen in Joaquin County, California. Chapman hopes this undertaking will inspire a similar event at the national level. Chapman also includes a brief list of films suitable for children's programs.
17 "Approved Films and Their Sources" is the first page of a list of motion pictures for both theatrical and non-theatrical use, approved by the national Motion Picture League, headquartered in New York City!--list continues on p. 23 which needs to be scanned-->
