Dear Mom and Dad,
Yesterday was the first off day I've had for a long time. Temperature is near the zero mark at night. It's tried to snow but it melts quickly.
This afternoon I'm going to go to school. It's a wire school. After that, we're going to radio. They're sending us a few hours each afternoon for a couple of weeks. The teachers don't know what they're teaching but it's warmer and easier than hauling sand.
We had an inspection this morning. I really flopped but I don't give a damn.
If things go right, I may be home sooner that what I'm counting on. I hope so.
I got your letter of November 12.
We're supposed to be free Thanksgiving. At night we're having a double-feature movie. Oh Joy!!
I'm on guard duty tonight from 8 - 10 and 2 - 4. Since the inspection was such a flop today, we're having it again tomorrow.
That's all for now. I got the last Sporting News so there's no sweat on it.
Last night I got a letter from a girl that was over five feet long.
Love
Eddie
