Dear Mom and Dad,
I didn't do a thing this morning. This afternoon I spent cutting down trees. Tonight, I'm on guard from 8-10 pm and 2-4 am. "No Sweat".
It's still raining. Our wire crew has one man from each liaison, 241, 242, 243, and 244. The whole crew has had plenty of front line experience. We've all seen combat at one time or other so we won't have any trouble at all way back here. "No Sweat".
According to the radio, Chicago finally got relief from the hot weather. We did too.
Now that I'm back here in the battery, I'll never make it home for Christmas. I'll probably rotate in February instead. While up on line I did pick up three extra points so I cut a month off my time.
That's the news for today. The White Sox haven't done too badly in the last week.
Love
Eddie
