Dear Mom and Dad,

There have been typhoons in Japan. The mail planes couldn't get through for the last few days. I think I'll get some this afternoon.

I don't know what to make of the truce talks. By the time you get this letter we should know the outcome.

It rained the last four days. It's very hot and wet, cool at night though.

I don't know what to write because there isn't anything happening. Last night we did have a "Warning Red". That means there were enemy planes in our area. I heard them and was plenty scared but nothing happened.

I was going to get off of liaison but now I'm going to stick around to see what happens at Panmunjon.

Our films haven't come back yet. I only hope that they didn't ruin them.

It's chow time so I'm going now. I'll write again soon.

Love

Eddie
