Dear Mom and Dad,
Not much to report, the weather is fine though I haven't received any mail for three days. That's the way it goes, one day I'll get three or four letters then I wait four or more days for another.
I'm at the switchboard now waiting to be relieved. A guy from the infantry is supposed to take my place. It's 10:30 now - he was supposed to be here at 7 o'clock.
Last night we had no trouble with our lines, so I finally got a good night's sleep. This typewriter keeps sticking on me. It's giving me a lot of trouble.
I called my buddy in the 49 th (Al Neve). He said he has quite a few Hammond Times saved. I'm waiting for a chance to pick them up. The last one I read was around March 18.
I'm to finish this letter tonight. I can't think of anything to say now. I have hopes of receiving mail this afternoon.
I did get a letter...from Lois. They couldn't read her handwriting. They first sent it to the 57th before it got to me.
Right now it's the morning of April 26 at 2:15. Nothing happened last night, I'm happy to report. I finally got down to take a shower yesterday afternoon. I feel one hundred per cent better and probably weigh about three pounds less.
That's all for tonight.
