Yours, Moms, and Fay's came intoday so I'll add a little to this one which is kicking around yet.

Live prints more b.s. about the navy blah blah, this and that than any magazine I evver looked at. It says "Carriers are such exciting business that they never have any trouble getting good men for them." There isn't a man on one of them would'nt give three or four months wages to swap with me. I've had offers, so I ought to know. The 'good' men that go there are the general run of the fleet, and fight shy of carriers, referring to them as flat top such and such's and themselves as "tail hook" sailors which, for your information, refers to the arresting gear which grabs the hooks in the plane's tail and brings it to a quick stop.

Still, it makes good reading
