Dear Mom and Dad,
I talked to the officer in charge here. I'm going back to the battery. It's too damn cold to be pulling guard all night long.
Al Witkowski rotated home a couple of days ago.
I received your letter of October 30. Over here they allow us five gallons of fuel for two days for one of these big tents. It's not enough to keep it warm. Back in the battery I won't have to get out of bed at all times. I'll only pull guard about once a week.
In your letter you said you'd send a clipping of a girl that you got from Loretta. It wasn't there. You should have written me her name, I'm curious.
The box should get here for Christmas.I hope they pull some sort of a deal that would get me out of here and on my way home before it gets here.
I'd think that they'd discontinue the "Big Picture" now that the fighting has ceased. What can they show now? If they show the fighting on Porkchop or Alligator or Baldy, pay attention to it because I was there.
Tell Bob that I expect a little donation for my tires. I never even had a flat tire with them. They only had a few thousand miles on them.
Well, I guess this is kind of short but so is news.
