Dear Mom and Dad,

This afternoon is nice and sunny. I just got off guard. They're having a U.S.O. show but they won't let me go. Those dirty SOB's!!

We had cold cuts for dinner so I'm still hungry.

Seems as though everyone in Calumet City is getting married. Must be an epidemic going on around there. I'm glad I'm safe and sound way over here.

Whether we can receive money here or not I don't know. I never received any. I suppose it's all right.

Enclosed is an arm patch from the 25 th Division. Give it to Tommie Jr.

I read an article in the Stars and Stripes that said in order for a package to reach Korea from home it has to be mailed by November 15. I suppose there will be quite a number of packages in the mail.

This is all I can think of to write. Enclosed is some Japanese and Korean currency. Save it for me.

Love

Eddie
