Dear Mom and Dad,

212 MORE DAYS

Today is the first of June. It's a beautiful day. Today is Soldier's Day. It's a big day in the rear. I went back and had a few beers. I'd still be there only they ran out of beer. Too bad.

I'm waiting for the "Ball game of the day". It starts in fifteen minutes. They're going to bring the Sox-ST. Louis game.

Right now I'm listening to a hillbilly program. Funny though they're playing the "Beer Barrel Polka". Ahaa!!

Since May is over, I have fourteen points now. I'm still looking for twenty-two more. Even though we spent May in a "blocking position", we still got four points because we were the ones that had to be ready to counter-attack in case of trouble. We're still in the same position but we expect to move back on line in a few days. We ought to have a beer party before we do move. I'm going to be damn drunk!!

I saw Bob Hope in "Off Limits" last night. It was a good, funny picture. That's all for now. The ball game is starting.

Love

Eddie
