Dear Mom and Dad,
I received a letter from both of you today, also one from Lois. I got those wedding pictures too. And two Baseball Digests. Thank you.
It's been raining for two days now, getting muddy. It's really dark here, only 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
Today my buddy and I bought a 45 RPM phonograph and about 90 records. They're not the latest "hit tunes" but once we get it set up I'll bet they'll sound good.
The Chinese have been "acting up" around here the last two days around OP 29. You may have read of it in the papers. OP 29 is just behind "Outpost Yoke" and next to "T-bone Hill". I'm sending a clipping from our paper. Save it for me. We really knocked the hell out of them. Our defensive setup here is almost unbelievable.
I'm tired now. The darkness hurts my eyes when I try to write. I'm going to try for some sleep. I'll write soon.
Love
Eddie
