Dear Mom and Dad,
I received a letter from you and Ron today. Nothing much has happened lately.
I got a good sunburn yesterday. I played a little basketball. After that, I practiced a bit with my pistol. I'm not a bad shot.
I washed my jeep a few minutes ago. In a few minutes I'm going to take a shower.
Len Gainski's in Germany. Every time I read about some of the guys I know that are in the army, They always seem to be sent to Europe. I don't know of any of them in Korea.
I'm enclosing a picture from our paper. Its not me but it will give you an idea of what I look like in my bullet-proof vest.
I'm attached to the 1 st Bn. 32 nd Inf. Reg. Yesterday they received a Unit Citation from the President for their action on Triangle Hill. That happened before I got here.
Well, its shower time. I'll write soon.
P.S. The White Sox seem to be doing alright.
Love
Eddie
