Dear Mom and Dad,
It's been so long since I wrote I hardly remember how. Right now I'm leaving Tokyo Bay. We're on our way to Pusan--I left Seattle, Washington on January 18. I sailed on the "Marine Adder" (I'm on it now)
It's a small boat but they still have over 3,000 troops on it! We got to Camp Drake, Japan at 9:30 P.M. Friday night. By Saturday night (27 hours) we were back on the boat headed for Korea, we processed all night and day without sleep at Camp Drake, so I didn't even get to see Japan.
Coming here, the sea was so rough and the boat so slow that at one time we only traveled 36 miles in a day and a half.
I'm in the 7th Infantry Division now. They're a popular division in Korea so you may be able to follow me in the newspapers.
Love
Eddie
