This is the second time I set my watch back - two lost hours & one more to lose later on. What happens to those lost hours.

My companion on the draft has been suffering from too much drink - otherwise, he's all right. Am also with a PhM 3/c from Sampson headed for the same place. Yesterday we whiled away the time while going thru the corn belt of Iowa with cards - rummy & casino & I showed them how to play concentration.

How is Rema - does she ask for me? How are you feeling? With all the news about the remarkable atomic bomb, I may not be away so long after all. Perhaps some year we can all take this trip across the continent in more *leisurely* style & for pleasure -
