 Letter to wife Lil [9/15/43]

At present it is very difficult to write--emotionally, I mean. The routine so far is a combination of [AOA] and Rikers Island--& the added feeling of separation makes it more difficult. Right now I wish I were home--However, in retrospect, it probably won't seem so bad--I'm sure in a few days I'll be more adjusted. Truth to tell, everyone w/ the new recruits seems to be in a fog--that's the typical reaction.

Anyway, we arrived safe and sound at camp--I think I'll put this in an envelope now; if I can I'll add more or write another letter after supper--
