My Darling Wife:

Honey I wonder how everything is back home. I sure do missyou & everyone else. There isn't much to do over here in your spare time & thats [sic] bad because you think too much. And that only makes me homesick. I suppose that it is pretty hard to sit around at home also. I do hope that you have been enjoying yourself.

Have you been out home of late? If so how is everyone? Has Paul been assigned yet?

In the very near future I'm going to try & see Bob. I hope that nothing comes up to spoil my plans. I'm so close to where I think he is that it would be a shame if I couldn't see him. Well we'll hope for the best.

Gosh Honey I sure do miss you. I hope that this darned thing doesn't last much longer. At least the news is getting to sound better. I must sign off now. Please write often. I love you so very much.

Love *Herb*
