Hey Arnie,

Well I have finally landed in a combat outfit. It took me two years to get out of the training wing but I did it. And boy what an outfit I did get into, Here B-29s are the thing. And it won't be long before I put that 20th air force patch on my shoulder, for this outfit is combat bound. I sent your girl two small pictures that don't look nowhere like me, one is for you and one is for her. She sounds like a damn sweet kid. If I were you I wouldn't worry about Dave moving out west and leaving Florence in Cleveland. They have to put a roof over her head before they can leave, so why worry about it. I sent the kid a pair of wings, now she can be a big time operator. I haven't flown in a B-29 yet, all of my flying has been in B-24s but I'll let you know all the details of the first ride. After watching these babies, I don't see how anyone wouldn't be sold on it. Take care of yourself Love Halfpint
