Dear Mrs. Lovell,

I am quite pleased as well as surprised I was one of 24 stories chosen for the Memorial Day web site, since there were so many other women that did much more than I did.

My daughter and especially my grandson want me to tell two of their favorite stories.

#1. Halloween night '90: While playing Spades or Hearts as we did most nights waiting for the War to begin, A few of us decided we needed to do something for fun. So we went Trick or Treating. There were a lot of units at Guardian City. Any way most of these units refused us a treat so we were left with only one option TRICK'S. Later that night all the unit flags just Happened to end up in front of the Latrene's [sic] ^SP except our unit. Nov. 1st was not pretty when all the units fell in that morning. It was hard for TOP & our Commander to keep a straight face while telling us we were in Deep trouble. The other Commanders accepted our plea for mercy, with much laughter.

#2. My second story is not quite as funny.
