The saga of Ocean City's development is an exciting and phenomenal success story. Nurtured from the imaginations of a handful of enterprising businessmen seeking to establish a seaside resort after the great Civil War, Ocean City has grown from two small cottages into what is generally regarded as Maryland's second largest city during the traditional summer vacation months.
