Bernice, Ah, Bernice! -
A Local Legacy Centennial Production
This original musical was written and performed in
celebration of the centennial of the town of Bernice, founded in
1899. Written by native son and playwright Chris Baldwin, the show
features 12 original songs and portrays 100 years of life in the
town, through war and peace, boom and bust. It was performed April
16 and 17, 1999, to a full house of 300 each night in a restored
cotton warehouse.
