Highlights the contribution of Phelps-Dodge, one of five major copper mining firms in Arizona, to the nation's and the world's copper supply. Arizona is the largest copper producing state in the U.S., and many communities such as Globe, Kearney, Morenci, Miami, and San Manuel owe their existence to the copper mines.
