Elisha Winn House and History

The home of Elisha Winn in Hog Mountain was selected as the first center of government of the newly established county in the early 1800's. The first county elections were held there, and the first jail was located adjacent to the huge barn that doubled as the first courtroom.

Originally submitted by: John Linder, Representative (11th District).
