Augusta Heritage Center (Elkins)
The Center features more than 200 week-long intensive
workshops in traditional Appalachian music, dance, folklore, and
crafts. The summer series, held at Davis & Elkins College in
Elkins, includes 20 concerts, 12 public dances, and 2 festivals.
More than 250 talented artists teach and perform each year in
celebration of the Appalachian heritage. Since 1973, thousands of
people from all over the world have attended.
