Hawthorne Caballeros:
Drum and Bugle Corps
Commemorates the work of the Hawthorne American
Legion Post No.199 Caballeros Senior Drum and Bugle Corps. The
Caballeros include a Competing Corps of 90 to 100 musicians and 30
to 40 color guard members, an Alumni Corps of approximately 120
members, and an Alumni Chorus. The Competing Corps competes in the
summer; the rest of the year it marches in parades and performs in
concerts, as does the Alumni Corps. Since the Caballeros began
competing in 1946 they have won many titles and honors.
