Taylor Horse-Festival Celebration

Founded to honor the animal that played such a major part in the Taylor, North Dakota's heritage, the six-year-old event takes a step back in time with a non-motorized parade, horse and pony pull competitions, crafts and food vendors, exhibitors, horseshoe tournament, pony rides, other children's activities, and music. It is held the last Saturday in July and draws anywhere from 3,000 to 6,000 people. Proceeds from the event go toward purchase of land for construction of a heritage museum and activity center.
