The Reenactment of the
Battle of Guilford Courthouse
This annual re-enactment of the March 15, 1781
battle is accompanied by a lecture series, speeches, period
demonstrations, and exhibits. Although the British won the
battle under Cornwallis, it was a turning point leading to
their final defeat at Yorktown, which ended the Revolutionary
War. The re-enactment has been held since 1981.
