Ozarks Voices: The Story of Springfield
Ozarks Public Television produced a program
entitled: "Ozarks Voices: The Story of Springfield," which
documents stories and remembrances of three dozen participants,
ages 65 to 107, in a Senior Writers Retreat program sponsored by
the Missouri Writers Hall of Fame. The video depicts nearly 90
minutes of interviews of people who grew up in and around
Springfield as they recall watching it grow from a small town into
a city. Their diverse backgrounds and experience provide unique
insights into the region's history and possible future, and will
help others understand how the city and the Ozarks became what they
are.
