Coast Guard Festival
This
celebration of the U.S. Coast Guard and its ships has been held in
Grand Haven since 1935. Events include nightly waterfront musical
entertainment, ship tours of active Coast Guard cutters, Kids' Day
events, a spectacular carnival, and the crowning of Miss Coast
Guard USA and a festival prince and princess. Starting with a small
community picnic in 1924, it has grown to ten days and nights.
