Lilac Time in Lombard
Located 20 miles west of Chicago's Loop, Lombard
was incorporated in 1869 and has grown into a friendly, dynamic,
and progressive community. The "Lilac Capital of the World,"
Lombard is home to magnificent Lilacia Park, designed by famed
landscape architect Jens Jensen and containing more than 200
varieties of lilacs, 75,000 tulips and other spring-flowering
plants that help usher in Lilac Time in early May.
