Homosassa Arts and Crafts Seafood Festival

In 1987 the Homosassa Civic Club, who had sponsored an art festival in the town since 1975, merged their efforts with the Organized Fishermen of Florida who brought an abundance of fresh seafood -- mullet, blue crabs, and stone crabs -- to be served at the Arts & Crafts Fair in Homossasa.

Project documentation consists of thirty 8 x 10 photos, many historic photos of the early Homossasa area, as well as a 13-page written report on the area's history, as well as copies of newspaper clippings and flyers.

Originally submitted by: Karen L. Thurman, Representative (5th District).
