USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park

The park's 35th anniversary was celebrated on January 9, 2000. The World War II battleship was dedicated in Mobile to the memory of Alabama veterans 18 years after she last ran under her own power. The project is documented with 50 pages of text, brochures and booklets, information sheets, 30 color slides with descriptions, an audio tape (tour of the battleship with Capt. Diffley), and a videotape, The Mighty "A."
