Initially trained as a violinist at Julliard in the late 1920s, Kroll went on to make significant contributions to the fields of cinema, theater, and television. In his filming of master classes and performances, he left an invaluable record of the works of legendary artists such as Pablo Casals, Jascha Heifetz, Joan Sutherland, Helen Hayes and Martha Graham.
