Abstract: In 2000, the Library of Congress celebrated the 100th anniversary of one of America's most beloved stories with the exhibition The Wizard of Oz: An American Fairy Tale. This companion Web site documents the numerous dramatizations of the Wizard of Oz for stage and film, with an emphasis on the 1939 Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film and earlier productions.
