                    <mods:abstract>Eugene Constantine Krylow (born Evgenii Konstantinovich Krylov, 1905-1977) was born in Russia . After immigrating to the United States, he was  heavily engaged in the cultural life of the Russian community in Chicago. The collection contains works by Krylow as well as arrangements and editions of other composers' music. The collection also includes four boxes of Russian Orthodox liturgical  music. The printed music, which has Russian text, includes music of Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Mussorgsky, Borodin, Glinka, Wagner, Verdi, Saint-Saens, and Delibes.</mods:abstract>
