<mods:abstract>The Damrosch-Tee Van Collection consists of the papers of Frank and Leopold Damrosch and their families. Leopold's papers include correspondence (including a copy of a letter from Liszt), examples of his writings, four scores (including Leopold Damrosch's piano-vocal arrangement of the Berlioz Requiem), programs, clippings, and other miscellany. Although many of Leopold's papers, including his correspondence with Liszt, Wagner, von Bülow, were destroyed in a fire in 1887, the collection's contents are still significant. Also included are the papers of Frank Damrosch and other family members. These materials compliment two related collections in the Music Division: the Mannes-Damrosch Collection and the Damrosch-Blaine Collection.</mods:abstract>
