We would also like to acknowledge the long-standing assistance of Dr. Ralf Wehner of the Saechsische Akademie der Wissenschaften zu Leipzig, program manager of the Leipzig Edition of the Works of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy -- an ambitious project to publish all of Mendelssohn’s musical works, correspondence, etc. in a scholarly edition anticipated to comprise at least eighty volumes -- who has so generously shared his time and insight in identifying certain Mendelssohn manuscripts in the Library’s collections and providing additional information about its Mendelssohn-related resources.
