NOTE:
Survey number HAER OH-27
Significance: Constructed in 1929 to replace an earlier bridge at this location, the Chesapeake & Ohio Bridge was part of the grand scheme of the Cincinnati Union Terminal. The construction of the terminal involved the co-operation of the seven rail lines serving the city. To match the huge terminal project, the C & O built what is believed to be the second largest continuous-truss ever built.
