Building/structure dates: 1836 initial construction
Significance: This Greek Revival influenced home in Waterloo, was the residence of Thomas and Mary Ann M'Clintock from 1836-1856. In 1848, the M'Clintocks, along with 200 fellow Quakers, founded a free-minded sect called the Progressive Friends. In the treatise for the sect, Thomas insisted that "not only will the equality of women be recognized, but so perfectly, that in our meetings, larger and smaller, men and women will meet together and transact business jointly."...
