Significance: This stone structure with a wood shingled roof was built in 2 sections, and bears 2 datestones. The oldest portion, dated 1829, was constructed by Daniel Shoemaker. The second section, dated 1854, was built by Benjamin T. and Thomas T. Shoemaker, sons of D. Shoemaker. The springhouse has undergone alterations and has also been used as an icehouse and dairy.
