Significance: The Bellevue Road Bridge was completed at the time that Bellevue Island changed from a vacation community of seasonal cottages to a year-round settlement, reflecting the decline of Lake Orion as a resort area. The design of this bridge, with its massive concrete railings, reflects an attempt to produce an aesthetically-pleasing structure.
