Significance: The Belleville Road Bridge is important in local history for its relation to events surrounding the creation of Belleville Lake and the local economic, recreational, residential and agricultural development of the surrounding area. It has been identified as being potentially eligible for the National Register of Historic Places as a late example of a riveted camelback pony truss.
