Building/structure dates: 1910 initial construction

Significance: A steel through Warren truss bridge typical of bridges constructed in the area during the early 1900's. / This bridge was constructed in 1910 to serves as a main farm to market crossing over the Bear River. This is the only crossing for approximately five miles in either direction. In addition to being a farm to market route, it also serves as a school bus route and provides for other general year around travel. The structure in only 16 feet wide and provides for only one lane of traffic. The original design provided for a loading capacity which does not meet today's standards for secondary routes. The bridge has had the stringers and deck planking replaced and has received several asphalt wearing surfaces. Considering the bridge's life span and service provided, it can be said that it has served the intended purpose well.
