SUMMARY:  Images show views on Glasgow, Henry, Jefferson, Jordan, Main, McLaughlin, Nelson, Parade, Preston, Randolph and Washington streets, Jackson Avenue, Pendelton Place, Route 11 and Route 60. Sites include the Alexander-Withrow Building, Blandome, the firehouse, First Baptist Church, The Gables, Hull's Drive In Theatre, John C. Boude House, Lawyers' Row, Leeway Restaurant, Lexington Carriage Company, Lexington Presbyterian Church, Valley Railroad Company Train Station, Lexington Virginia Building Supply & Mill, Memorial Baptist Church, the Old Jail in Courthouse Square, Rails End Wood and Metal Crafters, Robert E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church, Robertson-Phalen House, Rockbridge County Court House, a second hand shop, Silverwood, Southern Inn Restaurant, Stono, Stonewall Jackson House, Stonewall Jackson Memorial Cemetery (including a statue of Jackson by Edward V. Valentine), Southern Inn, Virginia Military Institute House, Wendell's Barber Shop, and the White-Badgett House.
Also includes views of Virginia Military Institute, Southern Virginia University, and Washington and Lee University. Sites on the VMI campus include the admissions house, the barracks and superintendent's quarters (designed by A. J. Davis), the faculty house (designed by Bertram G. Goodhue), George C. Marshall Research Library, Jackson Memorial Hall, the Old Hospital building, the parade grounds, and Smith Hall. Sites on the Washington and Lee University campus include the Cyrus McCormick statue, the colonnade, Liberty Hill ruins, the president's house (designed by C. W. Oltmanns), the Lee Chapel and Museum, Robinson Hall, and Washington Hall. Also includes the funeral of the Director of the VMI Office of Cadet Affairs, Kurt William Iversen; Mayor Knapp attending the farmers' market in Lexington; and a blessing of pets event at R.E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church.
