SUMMARY: Illustration shows H.G. Wells trying to sleep; he is holding a hot-water bottle against his abdomen, and on a small table is a box of Bicarb[onate of soda] and a glass with a spoon in it. The flaming earth streaking across the background may be a result of the effects of indigestion on his dreams.
