Television Finds a Home

Prior to World War II, television had been called an "experimental toy." With mass production following the war, televisions began to find their way into more and more American homes. The pictures below, from Architecture and Interior Design for 20th Century America, 1935-1955, show homes with televisions in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Examine the pictures closely.
